07/2015 Prince/BleepBloop/Bastelkopp/AMG/Eprom

I feel like I owe you this blog playlist. I have been diggin‘ deep into Bassmusic this month. There is a lot of Bleep Bloop in there. Remixes and collaborations, the stand out track from Bleep Bloop is „Pachyderms“ which is a collaboration with Yheti. Be sure to check that one out.

But what really caught my attention in the beginning of the month were Skepta/Plastician with „Back then“. To me an instant classic about how it is to rise and how people who never looked at your while you are struggling, will hunt you down when you will have become large. Keep that in mind if you’d rise one day.

Next is Footsie with „On this thing“. Quality Grime from the UK.

Wood$ from Y4NN is a banger not to miss from the list.

Yunis gave us HWAH. Sounds like a hybrid to me. But don’t take me as a reference for genre labels ;).

The OriGinALz released their album „Vanilla Cake Island“ on Saturate!Records. Very consistent release that received a lot of praise in the blogosphere.

FRE$H by AMG is going a different direction though. That is about the second part. Bass Garage is a big part of the list I compiled through July.

Bastelkopp has been constantly working in the studio. On both his projects.

Beatkartell is reminding us always there is a relevant side of HipHop that is overlooked in the trap era.

Last, but not least. Prince released „Hardrocklover“ and initially gave it away for free.

I hope you’ll enjoy these tunes. Many of them are still a free download.
